Victory Square Banner Program

Honouring Canada’s Veterans and over 100 years of the Victory Square Cenotaph.

Vancouver’s Remembrance Day Ceremony at Victory Square is the oldest continuing annual ceremony in the city and attracts thousands of people, rain or shine. The Cenotaph stands as a symbol of our collective memory and gratitude towards those who have served our nation.

To mark the 100th anniversary In 2024, a group of local volunteers created the Victory Square Banner Program to feature photos of our loved ones who have served our country. During the Poppy Campaign and Remembrance Day, these banners are displayed throughout Victory Square, Chinatown, and other corridors within the City of Vancouver.

Thanks to our generous donors and sponsors, new banner applications are now closed for 2026.

Over 700 banners will be displayed throughout downtown Vancouver streets during October and November this year, Watch for them!

How to Help:

A donation of any amount will go toward the costs of installation and pole rentals.
