About the Book
Every year, BC/Yukon Command publishes In the Service of Canada as a tribute to our Veterans, past and present.
Previously titled The Military Service Recognition Book, each volume features photos and stories of Canada’s Veterans. Everyone is welcome to submit a story, including Veterans, service personnel, relatives, and friends.
Beginning in 2025, the In the Service of Canada became exclusively digital. All volumes are available online to read and download for free.
Submissions Open

Fundraising
Funds for the Legion and for annual publication of the book are rasied through advertising sales and telephone appeals to private citizens and businesses throughout BC and the Yukon. These calls are conducted by the book publisher, Fenety Marketing.
These funds have supported several Legion initiatives, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder clinics for young Veterans, the Legion Military Skills Conversion Program with BCIT, and the BC Seniors Games.
