Become a Member

Any Canadian citizen or citizen of an Allied nation who is 18 years of age or older is welcome to become a member of the Legion.

Join in-person or online:

Join in-person by visiting your local Legion Branch. To find your nearest Legion Branch, please visit our Branch Locator. (Save time by filling out a membership form and bringing it with you to the Branch.)

Join online by visiting the National Website and selecting a Branch from the dropdown menu.

What happens after I join the Legion?

If you joined online, you will receive a confirmation email. You can then access your member benefits by creating an online profile on the Legion Member Services Website. Keep an eye out for a separate email with instructions on how to activate your MemberPerks account, where you can receive additional member benefits.

If you have applied to be a member of a Legion Branch, then the final step in becoming a Legion member occurs within 30 days of submitting your application: Your Branch will approve all new members at their next monthly general meeting. Until this step is complete, a Legion member cannot vote or run for office at their Branch.
